Sam and Megumi, Switzerland - HypnoBirthing
"I'm not sure if you still remember us... we attended the HypnoBirthing session in the end of 2003 and I had Mia at St. Vincents Hospital. She came 2 weeks late so I had to be induced but the HypnoBirthing method was still very useful and I had a great birth.
Well, we just had a second daughter last week at home. As we are living now in Switzerland, I could only find a French speaking HypnoBirthing contact, but I still had the book and tapes from the sessions we had with you. So I just used them instead and practised it at home when I had the time.
This time the baby was again overdue and I already had the inducing date set at the hospital. If the baby came before the date, I was going to a birthing centre where they respect the natural way of giving birth.
Anyway, I ended up having her at home as the surges only lasted for about an hour (I spent the whole time in the bath) and I was already ready to push after that. Poppy came about 30 minutes later and my midwife just arrived on time to deliver her. Simon almost delivered her, but he says he was ready for it.
I just want to thank you for all that you taught us and introducing us to the HypnoBirthing method. I really had a dream birth thanks to HypnoBirthing and the baby is very peaceful and happy all the time. I wish that all other 'mothers-to-be' would have positive attitudes towards easy birthing as I really believe that painless birthing is possible. Anyway, thanks again and I'm hoping to use the HypnoBirthing again for other occasions and also for the third potential baby!"
Meg, Ascot Vale - Shiatsu Pregnancy Massage
"I was five days past my due date and there were no signs of labour. I was worried when my obstetrician booked me in to be induced because I wanted a natural birth. Later that afternoon I had an induction massage. Three hours later my waters broke. The following morning I had my baby. I really believe if it had not been for the massage, I would have been chemically induced."
Rana, Clifton Hill - Shiatsu Pregnancy Massage
"The pregnancy massage is time out for the mind, body and soul. A must for all expecting mothers."
Carmen and Vinee, Strathmore - HypnoBirthing
"This note is to say thank you for all your work with us in teaching us to relax and meditate through our birth of our miracle baby. Thank you for your kindness and caring nature towards us. We will highly recommend you to friends and family so that you can offer them support throughout their later stage of pregnancy. We will be in touch with our wonderful news. Thank you once again."
Carmel, Northcote - HypnoBirthing
"Wow! I could not have done it without HypnoBirthing. While I can't say it didn't hurt, I will say that it never occurred to me to ask for drugs. My breathing and focusing on the birth affirmations were powerful tools, it was worth all of the dedication prior to birth! Many thanks Marietje."
Emma, Greensborough - HypnoBirthing
"Eloise was delivered by emergency caesarean prior to the start of labour. However, the breathing and visualisation techniques learned were very helpful to help me relax in the weeks leading up to my due date, but more so in the time between learning that there were problems and the delivery. The breathing was a God send when they were completing the spinal block."
Kirsty, Landing Place - HypnoBirthing
"We were thrilled to use HypnoBirthing techniques when I delivered my son. I was able to remain at home until my waters broke. The midwives were surprised that I was fully dilated because I had remained calm and my son did not become distressed and I did not require any interventions. We are expecting our second child in September and we'll be going back for a refresher with Marietje before then."
